The publication gives a summary of the international benchmarking of the Danish hospital sector.

The study compares the Danish hospital sector with that of Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France and an OECD average where possible in the following four fields:

• Health systems and health status

• Expenditure, personnel, capacity and activity 
• The patient and the hospital service 
• Use of resources and quality of care
